Oh My Gods! just got it’s own Get Satisfaction site! Huzzah! Now simply go to getsatisfaction.com/ohmygods to leave comments, feedback, suggestions, and whatever else you’d like! There is also a tab on the left called “Feedback” you can use, as well as a link in the menu on the right. So go for it! I’ll be checking it, so feel free to use it to help Oh My Gods! grow!
Deepest apologies for the vacation
Welcome back everyone! I see many faces I remember and tons more new to me! Welcome back veterans and glad to have you newbies!
My deepest apologies for the strip’s long vacation. To not get into much detail, thankfully my feet are back underneath me again and I’m hopefully in a place where I can create the strip on a regular basis again. Currently there is a (huge) void in the strip (from August 4th to November 3rd) – I will try to refill this with content, but I do not want to promise what I am unsure I can deliver. If I do, you’ll be the first to know!
In the Works - Oh My Gods! Hardcover
While it's not ready to be finalized yet, I wanted to let all you lovely fans know about a special project I am working on. I am going to create an Oh My Gods! Special Edition Hard Cover book of the first Five Years of the strip. It will be pretty! It will be fantastic! It will (sadly) also be very expensive! However, I know there will be at least one customer (me) and perhaps maybe more!
Just wanted to give you all a tease!
2000 Strips!
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been this long. I’ve officially now done 2000 strips. It doesn’t feel that long, and frankly, it’s kind of weird to think that I’ve created something 2000 times. In the end, though, I am very thankful to have such a great audience who has stuck with the strip for so long, and to have new readers each and every day! Here’s to the next 2000!
PS: If you missed the 2000th strip, check it out here
Year 4 Anthology NOW AVAILABLE!
Hot on the heels of the release of the Complete Year Three Anthology, the Forth Year anthology of the famed comic strip is now available!, and if your curious you can even take a look inside.
(Of course the first three years of anthologies are still available)
What People are Saying about Oh My Gods!
“This is some seriously clever occult humor! Hey, someone had to take the piss out of NeoPaganism. Leave it to Shivian Balaris to apply his observations and critiques in the form of entertaining comic art. For a lighthearted, fun, and educational perspective of our weird and Witchy ways, Oh My Gods! is the place to turn.”

What are you implying???
That Christians don't have a monopoly on angels? Go figure!
monopoly, or scrabble?
Xianity was hardly the first religion to have angels.
And I not only work with them, but I live with them... Gods I need an exorcist...
~~~
May love, darkness and kittens follow you wherever you go. Mau!
The only other religions
The only other religions that have angels are the other Abrahamic's, so it's basically the same thing. I mean if you want to add them to a loose, general definition of animistic spirits then whatever. Otherwise yeah, they are pretty specific to religions that worship Jehovah. Magicians worked with them back in the 1500's and what not because they had little other reference to work from. Just my $.02
Witches, magicians and angels
There's really no exact problem with any magicians working with angels, but just like with any spirit one should actually come to identify with the beings one works with, rather than just evoking them as some simplistic cop-out.
On a course i'm doing, we were previously joined by a 'fully trained witch' who seemed to keep pressing her own ideas about angels and angelic entities. Given that my friend Mani was running this course as a way of getting people to think more freely and openly about magick and the craft, this woman was really being a disruptive influence at first. People seem to forget that, actually, pagans are usually quite secure in their own spiritual relationships, and their own way of doing things, thankyou very much.
Please don't hurt me?
Hey guys! First post, yay!
I have been a fan of OMGs! for years, but just now signed up. So yea, I am lazy.
I was catching up on some of the old ones, saw this, and I had to post. I know that there is a chance I *may* get flamed, but hey, oh well. I am considered christian, (I guess you could say,) but not all Christians as it may seem. There are quite a few Christians out there that I don't exactly see eye to eye with, much less a conversation that doesn't end in being told I am going to hell by someone of my own faith. Yea, go figure! But there are a growing number of Christians who see the original truth of it, or so I hope.
Me, I personally love Pagans, or anyone of any religion for that matter. I think that there is no problem with anyone who celebrates a faith different of my own, as long as it is one that teaches kindness to the earth, and other man. Balance should of been something remembered by modern Christianity, but it's not as wide spread.
I know that this is a tangent from what is normally here, being a pagan-based comic and website, and I know this may not even have any place here, and for that, I appologize. But just wanted to let you know that not all Christians damn you, whereas some actually support you.
Guess that is an odd way to say, hello. But Hi guys...?
*winces in the thought of a thousand stares at the moment of this*
