Deepest apologies for the vacation
Welcome back everyone! I see many faces I remember and tons more new to me! Welcome back veterans and glad to have you newbies!
My deepest apologies for the strip’s long vacation. To not get into much detail, thankfully my feet are back underneath me again and I’m hopefully in a place where I can create the strip on a regular basis again. Currently there is a (huge) void in the strip (from August 4th to November 3rd) – I will try to refill this with content, but I do not want to promise what I am unsure I can deliver. If I do, you’ll be the first to know!

I was merely vaguely thrown that he wrote "Constitution saving throw", rather than just "Con saving throw". I don't think I've ever known anyone to say the whole thing unless they were explaining to newbies.

Don't school web filters fall under the "tasteless and offensive" category. As far as I can tell, mine doesn't have a web filter, but we do get watched by the RIAA

I thought that kind of stuff was only for high schools? Is it legal to do that in colleges? It kinda sounds like religious discrimination to me, but I might just be paranoid.

It depends on where the filter is located. If it's getting pinged in the dorms on the students' private systems, that's definitely a problem. If it's in the library's computer lab, that's not really an issue. The general resources are typically set up to be used only for classwork. Gods know I would have been pissed if someone was looking at porn when I wanted to write a paper.
It's still odd that OMG is being flagged, but I'd guess that the sys admins just add sites to the naughty list whenever they get a complaint. It's a lot easier than actually researching the problem.
net filters
In general, filtering is not done by the local sysadmins, but by purchasing commercial products. Unfortunately, the people producing said commercial products appear to all have conservative biases, so frequently automatically exclude pagan and queer content as "inappropriate." *grrr*

don't be too taken aback by the whole military thing. i too am in the navy and you would be suprised to find out how many pagans are currently serving. we are finally getting a lot of appreciation coming our way from the military community. progress is great^^. if you ever have any questions or just want to get more out into the pagan community within the navy just email me on outlook under HN Scinta. im the only one so should be no problem finding me. lol.

i'm an ex-navy girl i knew of three other people who were wiccan when i was in the navy course at the time i had no clue what that meant i just knew it was something the girls didn't want getting around. about 3 years later i found out that is was kinda what i believed in and figured out a few years after that, that i was norse pagan

When I went thru boot camp for the Navy in 1997, there were (counting me) 3 pagans in the same group. For the first time ever, there were enough "wiccans" to actually be able to submit someone to represent us one Sundays. It was the first time this had ever happened, and to be honest they were not sure what to do with the lone guy walking around identified as Wiccan next to the large number of Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, etc. Of course, 7 weeks later I was discharged due to medical reasons, but still...
