About the Strip

Oh My Gods! is a original web-based pagan-themed comic by creator Shivian Montar Balaris.

This comic was made to have fun and make fun at the world at large and poke fun amongst Pagans. While the strip could easily poke fun at Christians or right-wing groups, these jokes are made all the time. I am not saying that the strip never will poke fun at them, I am simply saying that the focus is to make fun amongst Pagans, not Pagans making fun of other people. Therefore, no-one is a particular target, neither is anyone immune to being a target for the apparent “wit” of this petty strip.

The strip is not designed to be contiguous (meaning, have a structured plot flow).

Lastly, if you feel ashamed, annoyed, insulted, harassed, etc. by the strip and / or its content, then please, direct your comments to the Forum; that’s why it’s there, after all.

About the Creator

A man of varied interests, Shivian breathes through his design, magick, laughter, and love. Professionally, he is a website & graphic designer & developer with nearly a decade in the field working with numerous clientele such as Mercedes Benz and Hyatt – as well as volunteer work for several nonprofits. Personally, he partakes in some amateur photography, practices the dramatic art of fire spinning, and follows a strict vegan diet. Ranging in spiritual interests from ecstatic practices to ceremonial magick, herbalism to modern mythos, Shivian is a neopagan magus of wide tastes and experiences. He not only enjoys walking his path, but also finds love in presenting workshops & articles on various topics to the greater neopagan community. In the end, however, Shivian can most often be found relishing in the profound but simple comforts of close friends, the dark earth, a warm fire, and the great star filled firmament. Currently he lives in Chicago, IL, where he creates his popular “pagan based comic strip for the polytheistic masses”, Oh My Gods! (ohmygods.co.uk); and is a member of the Brotherhood of the Phoenix (brotherhoodofthephoenix.org), a neopagan order for gay, bi, and transgender men who love men.
