I also agree. I'm a girl who likes sexist jokes. the point of comedy, in any form, is to pretty much make light of problems and arguments and generally take the piss out of society. If you dont like that sort of thing, then what are you doing reading a comic strip? Not to say that i think the information about the true definition of paganism isn't interesting or relevant. It's all good.

Not his fault. That add block is controled by Goggle not Shivian. I read a couple of other online comics that have the same problem. It's either the ads or having Shivian pay out pocket for the bandwidth, or sell memberships and make this a members only strip.

You know, it always amusing when some word has an identical written form but different meaning in two languages... In this case the word in question is "lammas". In Finnish it means "sheep".

Are you sure being Jedi is an official religion in Finland? (Any related links, please?) Because if it really is, this might be the push I need to finally overcome my lazyness and end my church membership, and with that, stop paying the chuch taxes. (Yes, in Finland, members of the national churh [Evangelical-Lutheran] actually pay *taxes* to the church.)

Yeah, over here fox did a story where they got a paint truck, took photos of it, and called it a WMD mustard gas thing in preperation for the war. I could be completely wrong, but I am pretty sure they did that.

When you really get down to it the names don't matter, the concepts do, and wicca and neopaganism are trying to wrap their names around the concepts(which IS necesary, don't get me wrong) but if it resonates with you more, and it probably does, to think of the god as the light side(expansive and solar, not being sexist here) and the goddess as the dark side(contractive and lunar, etc.) cast circle with a toy lightsaber and call chi, psi, astral light or energy "the force" then it will probably work even better than whatever craft names or tradition you were using.(except the GD JK)

I actually was a Clown for Christ with a couple of my friends during a religious convention in the mid 90's. We poked fun at all the various Church leaders & delegates attending from around the world and tried to make people smile. We got a lot of laughs and a lot of frowns too. We did fun things like wear the pink triangle pins and stickers from the gay and lesbian Christians booth over to the Fundamentalist groups booths.

It was a pretty fun time had by me and my friends.

I look back on it now and all I can think about is how creepy clowns are when you aren't one.

One man's religion is another man's belly laugh.

That actually is a thelemic thing. Crowley did it for the gematria. along with abrahadabra, which is now a word symbolizing the K&C of the HGA.

Its things like this that honestly point out that whether you are a wiccan or not, you seem pretty darn fluffy.
