And to think, I was too sick to move, and especially too sick to enjoy thanksgiving, the only time there's good food at the chow hall. At least the strip was great :P

I never find pretending to be on the One-Month training exercise or pretending to be deployed very much fun. If I'm camping, it's a tent, a sleeping bag, a sleeping bag pad, a bonfire, and the only food i'd bring is smore ingredients, and assuming it was a drive to camp site instead of a hike-to, I'd bring some dogs and steaks, but usually as a back up if I fail at fishing (usually do >.>)

19, in the army, and still playing everything from ff1 to modern warfare 2. I played pokemon Platinum just before deployment :P Nothing wrong with being a gamer, it's just a different lifestyle than most people.

However, she had a very strong trust in me. Of course, when I told her i was pagan, she asked "isn't that some kind of devil worship?" "Nah, pretty much just a polytheist like the Celts." "Oh, well, uh, what's the morality system like?" "Well, put simply, do whatever the hell you want as long as it isn't at someone else's harm or expense, which of course, is much more of a benign moral code than when I was an atheist" "Good point."
I was lucky to have such open minded grandparents, despite their fundie upbringing. They're proud that I got my certification through Sacred Well and so forth, so my religious support group was awesome. Then again, I told them after I joined the army, so it wasn't like I had to deal with it if they weren't so open minded. - Posted by:Inuko; for:
Hey, don't bash the idea. During my current deployment in Iraq, I've had to pull off a sabbat with only a canteen, a lighter, a tea candle, some smokes, dirt, and a utility knife. Sometimes, it really is the thought that counts.

From high school to army, and my MOS as an electronics maintenance has nothing to do with the fact that I understood every word.

If the pope and fundie worship Cthulu, doesn't that make them (lovecraftian) pagans?

For some non-western paths (not necessarily 'eastern,' and some shinto-ists) If the Athame was to have an element, it would be spirit, as in Feudal era far east (china and japan) it dishonors a blade to be sheathed without tasting blood. That said, my athame would be very bound to me, as it only knows my blood (just a prick, of course), and therefore is in tune with my life energy.

When you actually get to Jesus' actual teachings, they are very peaceful and such. Now, if Loki was a few of the popes and high-Imams, yeah, that'd make sense.
As for Zeus impregnating Mary, I think his older son was much cooler (alexander the great was said to be fathered by Zeus) - Posted by:Inuko; for:
Gnome mage all the way. He, being a computer nut like me, is good with systems and presumably tactical planning. Furthermore, being pagan, he'd be drawn to a class that has some sort of magic, so that takes out rogue, hunter, warrior, and I doubt he'd go for pali (which is stupidly OP) or shaman, which until around last july was ridiculously underpowered. He wouldn't go Preist because well, no one goes preist, unless of course he goes shadow preist. Ice mage, however, is the most powerful build amongst casters for taking on anything but Shadow Preists.

He was the epitome of Christan Forgiveness. My favorite example is when he publicly shook the hand and absolved the man who attempted to assassinate him. I'm not sure what his view was on us Pagans, but if he could forgive the man who shot (at?) him, I'm sure he could have been pretty understanding of other's beliefs.

How about we all post suggestions of weird and crazy things that happen in our lives?? Maybe the Shivster might be inspired. Or may post something so that the Muse we have conjured with our wacko ideas doesn't sit on him...
